Art is produced through symbols of the subconscious. Because of this, my pieces are frequently consists of dream ambiences, or dream objects. I'm using raw materials of the dreams and experiment on such concerning realms as childhood, sexuality, daily images and objects.
I seek more harsh statements for the childhood images than ordinary expressions. Since I consider artistic production process as a game and the outcome is a toy,
my work reflects and charges my excitement. While interpreting them, it is essential whether these "toy"s are touchable or not, fragile or solid, mild or agressive.
One of my pieces called "Rapira" is consisted of razors, but seems like some kind of a toy, yet a dangerous one because of its sharpness; parallelly, despite "bubbles_01.jpeg"s giant balloon invites audiences to play and interact with the work, it becomes a canvas to an untouchable video. So, tension frequently shows up in my works.
This tension exposes itself in the sex and gender related issues. My piece called "defo" deconstructs the subtext of dominant beauty discourse. Deconstructive power within the razors' own structure, here lies under the deconstruction of imitated barbie dolls, by the transformatory power of the artist.
Pieces which are demanding to break everyday objects’ context and demanding to be reread, mostly relates directly with the concepts about the body image. In the piece "freaks of nurture", when the illustrations with a baby room aesthetic are exhibited as mutated children bodies; visibility of the body, the objectification of the child bodies and their normalization are brought to the agenda.
Despite all these serious issues, to take it serious to not take it serious one's self, increases the effect of the pieces. This makes it essential that audience needs to be self critical when reading the works.
